Mitch Aguiar is a 10-year Navy SEAL veteran, professional mixed martial artist, and serial entrepreneur known for his “Mindset is Everything” philosophy. Mitch enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 2008, entering the rigorous Basic Underwater Demolition/SEAL (BUD/S) pipeline and graduating with Class 273. During his decade of service, he was assigned to SEAL Team 10 in Virginia Beach, where he completed multiple combat deployments to Afghanistan and various operations across Europe.

While still on active duty in 2012, Mitch began competing in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Mixed Martial Arts. Fighting under the moniker “The Smashin’ Frog,” what began as a hobby quickly evolved into a dominant competitive career. By the time he transitioned out of the Navy in early 2018, Mitch had established himself as a 10-time amateur champion, holding the #1 ranking on the East Coast in both the Welterweight (170lb) and Middleweight (185lb) divisions. He made his successful professional debut in January 2018, the same month he separated from the military.

Mitch’s entrepreneurial journey began in 2017 with the launch of MASF (Mitch Aguiar Smashin’ Frog) Apparel. This was followed in 2018 by MASF Supplements, a brand born from his personal search for optimized nutrition and weight-cutting solutions. His flagship product, Smashin’ Greens, became the cornerstone of a lifestyle brand that encourages supporters to take on fasting challenges and mental discipline tests to prove that the mind is the ultimate weapon.

In 2020, Mitch founded Adopt A Cop BJJ, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to improving police performance and safety. The program sponsors police officers across the United States to train in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu at no cost until they reach the rank of Blue Belt.

In 2022, Mitch expanded his reach by launching Violent Hippie, a lifestyle brand specializing in premium Jiu-Jitsu gear and organic wellness products. That same year, he opened the Violent Hippie Martial Arts Academy in Chesapeake, Virginia. The academy serves as a hub for Jiu-Jitsu and MMA training, operating under the brand’s signature ethos: “Be kind, or else…”
