Daniel David Corbett III is a distinguished former Navy SEAL operator who served with elite units including SEAL Teams 5, 6, and 17. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy shortly after graduating high school in 2002, and by 2005, he was deployed to Iraq with SEAL Team 5. In 2007, he earned a position with the highly selective SEAL Team 6, conducting global missions in some of the world’s most volatile regions.
In 2010, Daniel transitioned to an instructional role on the West Coast at the Naval Special Warfare Basic Training Command (NSWBTC), shaping the next generation of SEALs. After concluding his active-duty service, he entered the private military contracting world, applying his expertise to high-stakes operations abroad.
Daniel joined the Navy Reserves in 2014, maintaining his active reserve status until 2019. His name made international headlines in 2017 when—while on assignment as a private contractor tracking a terrorist financier—he was imprisoned for 18 months in Belgrade, Serbia, a dramatic chapter later chronicled in his best-selling book, American Mercenary.
Following the book’s success, Daniel is now in development talks with a major studio for a television series based on his experiences. Today, he continues to pursue entrepreneurial ventures while remaining a trusted behind-the-scenes figure for those seeking unconventional solutions to complex global challenges.
